Fans hoping for a joyous reunion between star-crossed Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) and Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) in the Season 3 premiere of “Castle” are in for a rude awakening.

Beckett’s decision to pursue her partner was preempted by Castle’s announcement that he’d no longer be working cases with her — and walking off with his ex-wife on one arm. But they’re probably still buddies, right?

Apparently not. ABC debuted a clip of the former partners’ first time seeing each other since the events of the Season 2 finale at Comic-Con, and the Live Feed has got it:

Barring a major departure from the series’ premise, we can assume he’s innocent. But a spurned Beckett is not a nice Beckett. She looks pretty happy to be slapping those cuffs on him.
